feel free to e/mail me I hope you enjoy this site. ************************************************************************************************************************* It is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of Jim Hooker. He passed away suddenly January 10th. from a heart attack. Thoughts and prayers are extended to Teresa, his son James and his dart team The Cloverdale Classics. There will be a service for our dear friend, Jim Hooker, at Cloverdale Legion on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 1:00 pm. Jim was for many years a great darts player, winning many tournaments, too many to mention here. He also represented British Columbia at the National Darts Championships, his Legion, at the Dominion Darts Championships, and was successful at many tournaments both in singles and doubles, in partnership with John Markham. R.I.P Jim you will be sadly missed. ********************************************************************************************************************** Kevin Painter wins

Championship in Dancaster England. ************************************************************************************************************************************************** Players who think they can know more than the Captain. There are dart players around who like to try to tell the Captain how to set up matches. I have witnessed this first hand and actually had a player tell me a few years ago that if I didn't play doubles with him he wouldn't play. Needless to say he sat! The same player informed me prior to the league playoffs if I didn't let him set up the teams at the playoffs he wouldn't show up, and would play in a tournament instead. I don't know if he won any money at the event. He joined another team the following year, which saved me the trouble of telling him he wouldn't play for me again. There are bullies in all walks of life and I am of the opinion darts has it's share. Players try to intimidate others with various forms of unsportsmanlike conduct, mind games, slowing down play and equipment changes during matches. All these tactics are tried to gain the edge in play but what the perpertrator doesn't realize is it rarely works, if anything the culprit is so emersed in putting the oponent off he is not concentrating on the match and loses fucus. I expect some feed back from this blog. Denise Lingham passed away Nov 4th...... Denise was Youth
Director for Darts BC ( BCDA Darts) from 1987 till
approx 1992. Her effort through those years really
helped the youth interest in darts.
A wonderful person who gave so much help through out
the years. Her daughter Dawn played for BC in a number of
National Championships....
